Baton Rouge, La - Ivory D. Payne, publisher of the Baton Rouge Weekly Press, in cooperation with Gov. John Bel Edwards's Get Serious Louisiana campaign recently initiated an internet video project to reinforce the importance of social distancing and safety as Louisiana attempts to flatten the curve of COVID 19, save lives and begin our road towards recovery. He approached business, spiritual and governmental leaders and asked that they share a short 30-60 second video that shared tips, encouragement and the seriousness of practicing safety and caution during this global pandemic.
Participants include: Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, Mayor President Sharon Weston Broome, Mayor of Baker, La. Darnell Waites, Senator Regina Barrow, Representative C. Denise Marcelle, Representative Barbara Carpenter, Attorney Tiffany Foxworth, Agnes Andrews, Councilwoman Chauna Banks, Bishop Charles E. Wallace, Baker Councilwoman Doris Alexander and more.
