The Baker Emergency Operations Center (E.O.C.) was partially activated Sunday evening beginning at 6:00 PM in preparation for upcoming inclement weather. The phone for the E.O.C. is 800-953-5933.

Baker residents may continue to self-fill sandbags at City Hall 3325 Groom Road. Please bring your own shovel to fill your sandbags, none will be provided. There is no limit on the number of sandbags you may fill. Monday August 24, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the City of Baker Public Works Department, located at 1507 Mississippi Street, pre-filled sandbags will be available. Residents must remain in their vehicle and the pre-filled sandbags will be loaded into residents vehicle. In order to receive pre-filled sandbags it will be necessary to present your ID showing Baker residency; there is a limit of ten (10) sandbags per vehicle. Residents may participate in both picking up ten (10) pre-filled sandbags and utilizing the self-fill sandbag station at City Hall. If you have any questions please call Public Works at 225-775-5584
Baker Utilities drive through will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Monday. For non-emergency business calls after noon please call 225-819-7549, employees will be working remotely after 12:00 noon on Monday.
