Vivica A. Fox Helps Hair Crown Celebrate 30 Years of Business in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La.— On Saturday, December 14, Hair Crown celebrated 30 years in business in Baton Rouge, LA with a customer Appreciation Day with celebrity guest actress, author and entrepreneur Vivica A. Fox. Fox is an accomplished actress and has held roles in popular films such as Soul Food, Set It Off, Kill Bill, Independence Day and a host of other big screen films, cable movies, stage plays, talk shows and soaps. She currently plays the role of Candace, the oldest sister of Carol Hardaway and Cookie Lyon on the hit series Empire on FOX.


In addition to her acting career, Fox was approached by a wig line to fill the space in the market that Beverly Johnson left vacant and she jumped at the opportunity. She shares that many of her acting colleagues made light and even mocked her choice to pursue her hair line.


However, almost 10 yearslater The Vivica Fox Hair Collection is arguable the most popular African American Celebrity branded wig line in the US. The brand has nine product lines including lace wigs, Braziliian hair wigs, her summer best seller, the “Bang -n- Pony,” and more.


Fox is also the author of “Every Day I'm Hustling” which is available on Amazon in Kindle, Audible, paperback, hardcover and mp3.


During the Hair Crown event, customers and fans were privy to hair and products discounts and participated in live entertainment, a fashion show and raffles for tons of The Vivica Fox Hair Collection wigs, hair, a set of Apple AirPods, a 60’ television, and the grand prize of $500 cash. Hair Crown has seven locations in the Baton Area. The 30th year celebration was held at it’s Florida Blvd. location that opened this August.
